Just south of my "county" here in Mi., the county has new home builders sign a form saying that they have read the page there signing. I'm told the form explains that they are moveing into a farming community, and there will be combines, tractors ect.. on the road, bad smelling things put on the fields ect.. and they agree to accept it all, and not go to township meetings later on complaining about it!!! It says on the form, if you can't accept this, don't build in this county!!!! In the 50 years we have owned this farm here, there's been a lot of changes just like Gary stated, and not many of them for the good!! I had a fellow in a suit come flying down my gravel road behind me when i was pulling my trailored dozer behind my tractor. I clearly had a SMV sign visible and he came flying around some curves, just missing me by landing in the ditch. I seen he was "ok", but i decided to leave him there to think on what he just did!!! These days i back the dozer on when i'm pulling it, i might as well have the blade out there as a "bumper"!!!! Robert

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
