My neighbor just put a set of stabilizers on his 8N. They are a pair of 1/4" x 3" (I think maybe 31/2")steel bars that hook to the pins on the 3 point lifting arms and a bracket that is bolted on on the arm pivots. They are useful when pulling tools that you do not want to wander from side to side. I never thought about them damaging something while in use but I guess it could happen. They work really well using a scraper blade. My neighbor pivots his blade backwards to use as a pushing blade while driving in reverse and the stabilizers keep it tracking true to the path of the tractor.
