I honestly don't pay attention anymore. If they aren't getting it one way their gonna get it another. I don't mind the taxes so much as seeing all that money needlessly wasted. Like one of the posts below they redid a bridge near me. It was a short bridge over a small creek and the roadbed was built up about 15 feet from fields on each side. It was at the bottom of a long hill on one end, with a sharp, uphill curve directly off the other end so you can imagine the nightmare this bridge can be due to idiots trying to "cut the curve". I say "can be" in the present tense because to rebuild it they filled in 15 feet on one side to build a roadbed, straightened out the curve and build a nice concrete bridge right before tearing the old one down. Just when we thought we had a nice, new, safe bridge, they tore the iold one down and build another bridge in the exact same place as the old one. The only change was about an extra 5 foot in width which gives you at least a little dodging room from the "curve cutters". When they were done with the new one they demolished the nice, brand new, temporary one they had just completed and gave all the crush and run from the roadbed away. We wound up with the same headache we always had but not it was new a d pretty. We fouind out through a neighbor that was the City manager at the time that it was a Federal job. Due to Federal regs. the finished project couldn't be more than 10% different than the origional so it prevented them from making the changes they introduced with the temporary bridge permenant. As a result instead of paying to build one bridge, they paid to both build and tear down two of them...........NOW THAT'S OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK..........Makes me sick, but short of DC being leveled with all the politicians in residence and starting over with some true country people that know BS and "pork barrel" spending when they see it what can we do??? Just my .02

Good As New - by Bill Goodwin. In the summer of 1995, my father, Russ Goodwin, and I acquired the 1945 Farmall B that my grandfather used as an overseer on a farm in Waynesboro, Georgia. After my grandfather’s death in 1955, J.P. Rollins, son of the landowner, used the tractor. In the winter 1985, while in his possession the engine block cracked and was unrepairable. He had told my father
