Dear BOC, As much as you would like to blame the current administration on the "high oil prices", world market conditions, high demand and a growing economy are all combining to drive the pricing conditions we see today. Gary in TX is also right on the money in pointing out that local laws passed in California and other states have created the need for unique gasoline formulae for refineries to contend with, not to mention transportation and distribution impacts. Before you start blaming our president and vice president, you should learn a little about US & global economics. I am always amused at folks that will complain about high gas prices, but won't blink when they pay more for bottled water than they pay for a gallon of gas. I was in Europe 12 years ago and gasoline was about $4/gallon. I don't know what it runs today but I bet it hasn't gone down. I am all for cheap gas or diesel, but you should consider that prices for many items have risen over the years and also compare those increases to the cumulative inflation rates over the same period. For those of us in any kind of business, rising prices are a fact of life, as are wages, insurance and other costs.

Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
