I bought a new Struck mini-dozer in 1970. It arrived in a box in about a thousand pieces and it cost me about $500. It was good for dozing, grading, leveling, etc. I really got a lot of use out of it. Eventually the track chains became quite worn and, instead of buying new, I fixed up a chain tensioning device on each track utilizing some heavy springs to keep the tracks tight and yet allow them to roll over rocks, etc. The belts had to be replaced every year the way I used it and that became a real chore when the shafts became rusted. I sold it to a mechanic in 1985 for$500. I wouldn't buy another one. I don't miss it. I believe the Struck Co still sells them.
