I got so "wrapped up" with furnace filter material that I forgot to mention that I have done a lot of cutting with a WD using a Land Pride 2572 Rotary Cutter. That is a 900 lb six foot heavy duty (110HP gearbox) unit. It definately taxes the WD beyond the max on occasion and I have to compensate by taking less than a full swath (5' tall swamp grass to include some brush) while using full throttle. My WD has never overheated doing this. That's what the tractor was made for. It will make the front end of the tractor light and you have to be careful, however the cutter does have a tail wheel so that helps. A loader or other weight on the front end would fix that.
