Gooseneck Hitch Location BW turnover

Putting in my B&W turnoverball hitch in 04 F350 supercab Longbox. My choices are 46" and 49" from back of box. Both will have the ball coming out ahead of the axle, roughly 3" and 6" ahead which is best? I'm leaning to the 49 which is farther frontwards beacause there is so much more truck out front. This my 4th time and all the others have been ahead of axle.
