I'm not so sure that this is a true statement in every case. It may be in your area. As far as breaking frames, they are made out of cast and if you bounce one long enough or hard enough, it will break. If memory serves me, the MF may have a slower first gear which may be a consideration. But the Oliver will win in horsepower. I agree with driving them both and pay attention to the steering on the 550. If it is hard to steer, the steering box has sixty ball bearings in it and can become an arm exerciser if any dirt or water gets in it. They both have draft control and each are an excellent useable tractor. Get the one you like best after using each of them.
