I will be forever proud of President Reagan, and proud to have served in the US. Army under him as Commander in Cheif. I will never forget the double digit inflation rates (in the 20's) in the years that preceded him. I will never forget the "turn down the furnace and put on a sweater" years before him. The creation of the ARM (adjustable rate mortgage) gimick so that we could realize the American dream of buying a house, that preceded him. I will never forget the closings of factories and losses of jobs back home in Elkhart, IN that preceded him. Sure, there will be detractors of President Reagan, as well as twisting and spinning of history, but I, as many lived through those days and years, and will never forget what President Reagan did for these United States of America, much of the world, my family, my friends, and myself. May God bless President Reagan, I will miss him sincerely, and will never forget - Mark.IN.
