While I agree about the scammers, surely you do not think that the people involved are from (or even live in) Nigeria? That's part of the scam too (along with the bad typing). They hook you into thinking that you are richer (Americans vs Nigerians) and smarter (correct spelling vs illiterate) than they are. My suggestion? Hit the delete button ... but of course the problem is that some aren't doing that. If they weren't getting any responses (some including money) they wouldn't be doing it.
