Could be the starter, out of time a tad or even a bad cell in a battery. How do know timing is correct? When timing chains are stretched a tad the light doesn't even work real well on them. I have had several of the electronic ignition boxes go bad, and they all just plum quit when they went. I carry an extra one in the truck with me.
