A BX 1800 is an awfully small tractor to do any serious snow plowing. Something the size of an MF135; Ford 600; JD 2150. Put fluid in the tires, chains on the tires, Blade or pusher on the back. Do most of your pushing going backward. The reason I mentioned the tractors I did is that they are small enough to get around in tight places and you don't need a lot of space to store them. If space is not a problem then pull out all the stops and go for something really big. That way you'll be able to handle 20' drifts.
