I live out in past the city limits but we do have a countywide leash law. The law says a dog must be under the owner's control when it is off their property .What a joke ! I keep my dogs in a pen most of the time for their own protection but when they are out I don't let them stray farther than the neighbor's yard.My dogs are obviously harmless so they don't care but I am still violating the leash law myself . Now the rest of the folks in the county just let their dogs run free and nothing is done at all. I had a big unfriendly Rottweiler come up in my yard one morning as I left for work. I have never seen it before or since but I made up my mind that morning that if it showed up again and showed any signs of aggression , It would dissapear . I believe in the SSS method . I had a coworker a few years ago who shot his neighbors Doberman after it growled at him . He wound up having to pay $ 600-800 for the dog . Keep that in mind. Ford Man
