As a Viet vet I flew home from California in 1972 in civies and never told my seat mates I was just off of a plane from Viet Nam and only 48 hrs. before was on an artilery firebase. Our generation of Viet vets try to make sure that never again will returning soldiers arrive unnoticed or unappreciated for serving their country. We can't erase the mistakes of Viet Nam but we sure need to do our best to see that they are not repeated. I salute all our troops and say thank you and God bless.
