This sounds like it might be your first long distance tractor purchase. My rule is NEVER buy something you haven't seen and touched and once you make a deal, take it off the seller's property immediately. So as long as you are going there, rent a trailer. Just be sure it's enough trailer for the job and you have a decent tow vehicle.

If you really don't want to trailer it, there are haulers who do this for a living. Some advertise on this site. Or call a local construction/heavy equipment broker and ask who they use as a contract hauler.
