I think that depends a lot on the specs of your turbo. A turbo is just a specialized supercharger that has its compressor spun by a turbine that scavenges energy from your exhaust. If you want to have more adjustability of the speed and pressure you might want to check out superchargers (interchangeable pulleys allow you to alter the speed and thus the boost pressure).
