ClearOut 41 Plus is a cheaper generic 'same thing' product made of glysophate. Glysophate (active ingrediant in Roundup, etc.) does a good job of killing most all green plants. It is one of the safer chemicals, as it breaks down rapidly on soil contact. You need to use a bit heavy to control large grasses. It will _not_ keep any residual action, So, the next day new weeds will stsrt to sprout & grow. You can get products that stay active in the soil for a longer time, & control these sprouting weeds. You will need a combination, as some chemicals control broadleaves, some control grasses. However, if your kids & pets play on the driveway, they will be in some contact with these longer-lasting chemicals. You can use the driveway more, or blade/grade it every once in a while. This also controls the weeds. --->Paul

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
