I appreciate the tips. I finally lost patience and took the carb off and cleaned up with carb cleaner. I believe the float must have been stuck in the down position. I did check the float to see if it had gas in it. Cleaned up all the little venturis and ports. Got it running again and actually got the yard mowed. Whew! We've been gettin' rain on a more or less daily basis for the last month, so it was real important to cut it while I could. Tip on Snappers: You might as well take the tank off and run the engine dry before tipping on end to work on. I've gotten away with it in the past, but it bit me this time.
