Going rate around here is $90 to $120 an hour, for 8 hour minimum. $90 end of the scale gets you a small tractor (D4 or smaller) $120 end of the scale gets you something in the D8 size range. 3 or 4 hour job will have the operator spending as much time moving the tractor as running at your site. They'll usually charge a premium for a small job. Then there's the guys that specialize in small jobs. They usually have a smaller tractor, and will price their work by the job, as opposed to hourly. This isn't carved in stone, and rates vary across the country. Good luck. John
