Jack, I agree with Rusty. There is no way that a TO30 Ferguson or an 8N Ford will handle 8 ton on a drawbar that sticks out a foot past the axle. A hitch in the front end wouldnt hold up either as you could never steer it. It isnt the power that is critical, its the weight distribution. Towing 8 tons laterally is totally different than bearing the same weight vertically. I think you already have the best means of manekuvering your 5th wheeler and that is the vehicle with which you haul it down the road. You simply need to hone your skills at maneuvering it into your driveway.
