Allan- I'm only 19, so I have quite a few years before I can retire. I agree with you 110%, I love the smell of hay, hogs, cattle, and the smell of freshly plowed dirt. I know there is no money in farming, but that's not why I'm getting into it. Like many people, my money, insurance, etc. comes from my "city" job, but my mind is all ways on the farm. My goal is to have my own good sized farm (200-400 acres) and maybe make enough so I can farm full-time. Good luck in all you do.
