I have a cheap generic 3pt pallet fork but I can't get much more than 800 lbs of weight on it before my front wheels start getting really light. At 1000 lbs the front wheels are no longer subject to gravity. I don't know how big a tractor you need to hang 2500 lbs on the 3 point hitch, but it better be LOTS bigger than a Ford 800. Also, there's a pretty nice looking 3 point pallet fork on ebay that has adjustable fork widths. Asking price is $275 which is about double what I paid for my fixed width fork.
