Just wondering how the crop year is shaping up for farmers in other parts of Canada and the USA. Here in SW Ontario the spring was cool and once the rains started they did not stop. We were just shy of beating the wettest spring on record. I finally got my soybeans planted on the 27th of June. Still planted in the mud. In our clay soils it is only asking for trouble. Once I got planted it turned dry. Just got 1.5 inches the other night. A down pour. Have had rain all around , but kept missing our area. (went 1/4 mile up the road and it was pouring, we got 0) My soys are about 3 inches tall and there is only about 6 weeks growing time left. Wheat (soft white winter wheat, soft red are loaded with Fusarium) my was graded at the local elevator @ 2% Fusarium which will dock me between 75cents and $1 per bushel. All the area wheat is going as Feed. Wheat cash price is about 3.75 /bushel or so. yeilds are up and down as well afew 90bu/ac crops/ mine was about 70bu/ac Corn crop is hit or miss , mostly miss. I have never had a year where all 3 crops were so poor
