Try the Spike pellets I mentioned in the thread below. I've used it on fence rows and you will have bare dirt for several years. I haven't seen anything it won't kill yet. Use rubber gloves to apply and don't over apply. 4-5 pellets will kill small trees. On fences I just spread it along right under the wire by hand.
