There is no bush hog with lower case. As a trade mark, Bush Hog refers to one popular manufaturer of rotory mowers (and other implements). Much like Kleenex refers to a popular facial tissue. Since 'rotory mower' can refer to all types of different designs - heavy duty like you are refering to, finishing mower, even a flail mower is 'rotory', to describe a real heavy duty brush cutting rotory mower but avoid the trademark issue (Bush Hog must protect it's trademark or lose it, so if you publish in a widely ciculated publication you will get a letter from their lawyers if you would refer to a generic mower as a 'bush hog'), most folks call them brush hogs. I'm confused about the terms 'disk harrow' to chase down different regional terms. Where did that come from? A disk has the round blades on it, a harrow has teeth of some type to level ground. How did it come about to call a 'disk' a 'disk harrow'?
