I jest couldn't let this one get by without comment. A shredder is another type of implement. It consists of a rotor with a horizontal axis which is well hung with free swinging flails and is used primarily for breaking up corn stalks and raising a lot of dust. Just sharpen the flails and it becomes a flail mower. Ed
