Hey Andy, Have you tried loosening the clutch on the lever? Maybe that will help you ease 'er out of there. After you get the thing repaired, I'd pull out that standpipe in the corner of the compartment to drop the level down a couple of inches. Why IH wants that tank to be "full" all the time is beyond me; it's just dead space taking up oil and making it ride up against that upper gasket. Just a thought, Allan
