Two bits of advice:

1. check the rubber. This can be a big drain on your wallet if you have to go out and buy some new tires due to defects.

2. road test the machine if possible. I got burned once buying a Farmall. Idled and drove just fine but when you put the engine to task mowing there was significant blowby and the engine was definitely underpowered due to the above problem. Load test the tractor if possible! I bought the mower and tractor separately from the same guy and then assembled them at home so maybe he out thought me. Just learn from my mistake!
