We have a General with 1XB motor so it is prior to 1942 and are in the process of resotoring it. Can you advise what color, paint codes - any info appreciated. Also what does gg stand for? Resotored by BC Farm Machinery and Agricultural Museum at Fort Langley BC : The GG (General) was just a wheeled version of the Cletrac HG crawler. They were equipped with a Hercules IXB motor. Rights to manufacture the GG were sold to B.F.Avery in 1942. : : The General tractors tie in with the B.F. Avery tractors. I believe that B.F. Avery may have bought out the General tractors or at least their design. Avery tractors did use the IXB3 engine in their tractors. You should contact the B.F. Avery club for info. B.F.
