A few years ago, I was down in Virginia at a campground heavily populated with Bluegrass musicians. During the course of playing music with alla them good folks for a few days, I made a lot of new friends. One of them asked me "Do you play out back in New Hampshire?
I had no idea what she meant by playing "out". She finally explained to me that it meant playing at gigs for money and not just our own enjoyment. Never heard it put that way before.
