Hi All, I'm a pretty easy going guy, to my mind. One the 30th of June, the wife and I traded in a 2001 Windstar with only 15K miles on it for this 2004 Mercury Monterey. The only reason we traded was because the warranty had run out on the 2001; the Windstar never gave us a problem, ever. The new one is a beautiful car; well, until we were handed the keys, that is.... Out of the past 6 weeks, we have had the car in our possession for a total of 4 days, now. The rest of the time it has been in the shop for a long multitude of differing problems, the last of which is that of the left sliding door which wants to remain "full open" all of the time. Got the car out of the shop on Friday afternoon at 5pm, with the door supposedly repaired; Saturday took a trip and ended up driving home 60 miles at 30 mph with this goofy side door standing wide open. I called the dealer this morning and told him I would like to involk the "Lemon Law". He agreed with me and said he's never had to do this before, so he'd have to see what all was involved. Wonder how this saga is gonna go down....... Allan
