Glad to hear that you and your's are safe. During the week I rent a little place on a slab in Joliet, IL. to sleep at night. Some weeks ago we had one that ripped a little farm town to the west (Utica) apart, then touched down 2 blocks south of me for a few blocks. The freight train sound? It really truely does just rumble and make the house creek and pop. Here, law enforcement cordens off and unless you live there, there is no going in to help like back home in rural Indiana. Shep, never been through a hurricane, and can't even imagine such a pummling duration. Here, anything close (tornado) is quick, and either misses you or doesn't. So far, I've always been missed, and unfortunately others haven't. Glad you're safe and ok. God speed to those less fortunate.
