Dan, I went by the place today (Tom Witvoet & Sons in Hersher, IL) and plan B didn't work - they didn't have internet access, so they couldn't look at your picture. But I described it as best I could see it, and they said "Auger on the front? Are you sure? Never seen one before, gotta be expensive, or home made". And they didn't have an auger for me, but can get one quick if I want them to. I figure if I've gotta wait for one, may as well get it from an impliment dealer back home in Indiana. And more dumb luck, they had a consignment sale Aug 3rd, and I missed it by a couple of weeks just like I did the one on May 1. Mmm mmm mmm. Well, maybe I'll remember to catch the one Dec 7, or pickup a deal in between. Nice guys, and stufff, they got stuffff. Sorry, I tried.

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
