Seems alarming at first thought_BUT: I have a B that my grandad replaced the seat on_so the tag is gone. I have a doner with a good seat wrong year that I will put on it tag and all. I would rather have the one he threw away. I am still looking for a seat bracket of the right year because the wrong year bugs me, right year wrong number does not. I think it is a deception to a sell a tractor as an original cherry when it has been drug up, pieced together & painted and all those that recondition tractors have there own level of honisty or deception. Seems like most of these plates would come from doners and just go to help complete a recondition or resteration.
