John,

The Case 930 diesel was built 1960-1964. The Case 930 Comfort King (CK)diesel was built 1965-1969. You don't say which. The 930 was Nebraska test 741 at 71.92 db hp and 80.65 pto hp. The 930 CK was Nebraska test 918 at 76.00 db hp and 85.39 pto hp. Both had a 4 1/2 x 5 401 cu in 6 cyl engine. The 931 or 931 CK was a rowcrop tractor with either tricycle front, single front, or wide front axle. The 930 was the standard or wheatland typr tractor. (Both were called 930, the 931 just designated row crop). The 930 CK row crop (931) had a shipping weight of 8195 lbs. The 930 CK standard had a shipping weight of 8765 lbs. This size tractor is kind of overkill for mowing only but should be good with your loader and other fairly heavy work. The 930 and 930 Comfort King were the same basic tractor but the Comfort King has a little more power and the controls and seating are diffeent and make it a more operator friendly tractor.

Today's Featured Article - Old Time Threshing - by Anthony West. A lovely harvest evening late September 1947, I was a school boy, like all school boys I loved harvest time. The golden corn ripens well and early, the stoking, stacking,.... the drawing in with the tractors and trailers and a few buck rakes thrown in, and possibly a heavy horse. It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c ...
