Before you buy anything,spend any money,or make any plans,go see your county Agriculture agent,or contact the nearest state ag college. Make a few friends with some local "OLD TIMERS" and talk to them about the local conditions,practices,and crops. LISTEN. Then make plans.Do not be in any hurry.This is much harder than it looks. Renting the land to someone else & observing may prove to be a wise first year plan. Good Luck !
