Depends on how much time you have to farm. I would discount Sid's idea on the D15 a bit, but his other's would certainly fit for the average guy, along with your mention of the JD tractors. Check out the difference between 10 and 20 series- all the 10s have the synchro tranny, vs the synchro and powershift option on the 20 series. AC models have the Power Director which gives you Hi and Lo speed with live power. JD would have the independent pto, but they cost more. Many other good options available- just check them all out ahead of a purchase.
