I answered your question once before, but now you give more information, which makes my first answer wrong. GL-4 is a rating for geart lubricants such as 80w-90, etc. It is not correct for a rating of Universal Tractor Fluid. From your added description of the Allison C-4 rating and the wording on the pail, it would appear that you have the correct product. I would again liketo add that there ia a very big diffrence in quality of these products. As an example, if you use the farm store or cheaper brands in a JD with wet brakes, the brake chatter, becomes a big problem. I would stick with the Case IH product, or one from a major oil company such as Mobil, Shell, Chevron, Texaco, etc.
