I think it depends on what people do with tractors in your area. If everyone has to have one to push snow with, then there isn't going to be much of a drop in prices after fall tillage is done. If most tractors set all winter then there may be some price drop in late fall and winter. As far as good weather or bad weather for best deals at auctions... I really don't think there is a predictable pattern there. Most auctions are not going to be scheduled during what is likely to be the very busy times of the year. They will try and have them before those times. The predictable thing about auctions is that the best buys will happen at auctions you do not attend. I think it one of Murphy's laws of nature.
