Ford 5000 questions........

I am looking at a couple Ford 5000 diesel's and thinking about buying one. One is said to be a '69 and the other is thought to be a '70 with "power shift". The '70 has a platform since it does not have gear shift levers and appears to be a bigger tractor but that may be just because it sits higher (like a row crop tractor). I was wondering if one model is considered a better tractor than the other. In general, are the 5000's good tractors or are there things to be aware of? Any other words of wisdom or information would be appreciated.
