Did the Doc put a name to "irregular heartbeats?" Has it been checked recently, and have you seen a cardiologist about it? A fairly common arrythmia is atrial fibrillation, and it can usually be fixed if treated early. AF can cause complications. Get rechecked and if it's still there, see a heart doc if for nothing else, peace of mind. I'm not a medical person. My Dad, though, did have AF and it went untreated for years to the point his new Doc's were afraid to treat it agressively, for fear of causing a stroke.
