About the best Z I have found for speed, quality of cut and top notch quality is a Dixie Chopper. The most poplular for what you are mowing is an LT2000-50D, the sell for $6299.00. The next on would be a ZT2148 Gravely, $4599.00. Cheaper price, but not the quality of a Dixie Chopper. The Gravely does have a 10ga welded, fabricated deck, with sealed spindle bearings, not stamped steel, but they use hydrostat transaxle, not individual pumps and wheel motors. ZTR's are like everything else, you cannot get real good quality, cheap. You can get decent quality for a reasonable price. But you want to find something with at least a 10ga or heavier fabricated deck. Stamped steel decks will not hold up to the 18,000FPM plus blade tip speed. They will eventually crack, plus the stamp decks will bend if you hit something and at 7-10 MPH ground speed, it will hit hard.

How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
