Wellll..... I'd probably not get too excited about re-ringing pistons, bore job, new bearings etc. until you see what the head problems are. Zero compression almost certainly means a valve problem -- either burned or being held open -- and you may well have a head gasket problem too since adjacent cylinders are low and 3 & 4 are OK. I agree the head definately has to come off and you are likely to need the machine-shop work. It isn't really too much work to get the head off and you will likely see the problem right away. Get your head overhaul gasket set ordered right away since you're going to need that stuff in any case, and you can give the machine shop the valve seals to use. You can always spring for the overhaul kit later if you need it. Just my opinion..... Peter
