Huw: I owned a "64 Super Major with a loader and (Ford) backhoe, and was very happy with it. Some things were clunky, like the power steering and the starting setup, but overall I did a lot of work with it around my place and sold it for exactly what I originally paid for it. It required nothing other than routine maintenance and a couple of minor odds and ends while I owned it, which is certainly better than a lot of 40-year-old tractors I"ve been involved with. Parts are available if you know where to look, though they"re not cheap.
