I'm not sure about the specific software that Kim is trialing, but some of them allow you to choose weather you want old topics with new posts at the top, or to keep them in the order of the original posts. I have checked out her software, just not in that great of detail. I personally like to have them popped to the top, puts legitimate questions back in sight when it may take a couple of days for someone to come along with the answer. In general though, forums seem to cycle. you'll have periods with on topic posts, then off topic posts, and slow periods too. Although I can do without the politics, I'd rather see that than a bunch of tumble weed rolling by. Chuck
