The secret to burning a green pile is to get a spot hot and that will dry the rest of the pile out so it will burn. It is a constant effort to keep the pile tight so it will burn.
I use southern "fat pine" to get the hot spot. I have used old motor oil mixed with fuel oil, diesel fuel, kerosine, or whatever I may have around. Don't recommend gasoline.
ray, in FL and who currently has two green piles going. I close them up with the 4000 and the 703 loader.
