An 8N Ford is almost always WAY overpriced for it's value as a tractor. They are CUTE and something that people who don't know any better think of when they think tractor. Not that they aren't ok for somethings, just that you can buy a lot more tractor for a lot less money. I would suggest they you consider an AC WD or maybe a VAC Case. A good WD will usually bring less than $1000., sometimes a LOTss. It will give you independent PTO and hydraulics, thru the hand clutch, can easily be converted to 3 point and back to snap coupler for a wide range of equipment. You can find trip bucket loaders for a few hundred dollars, and they are a WHOLE LOT BETTER than no loader at all. You won't have power steering but you'll still have a lot of money in your pocket. For clipping pastures I'd suggest a sickle mower rather than a rotary also, but used rotary mowers that are good enough for weeds are sometimes less than $100. and sickle mowers in usable shape are often quite a bit higher. Here in the midwest I have now doubt that a person who looked around a little could put together a good Allis WD with trip bucket loader and usable old 5' brush hog for $1,200 to $1,500. with out much trouble at all.

My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
