Hi, all you 8n gurus, Just removed one sleeve after reading here about just heating them a little. I did that and then I tapped in screwdriver and the metal just pealed away and the sleeve fell out. I was wondering if my sleeve was cast or metal. I did not think that metal would just peal like that but read one post that says it would. Looking at the sleeve it looks like cast, has that grey powder look. I also measured it and it reads about .075" Thick so I guess I need the 090" sleevs? Do I need to put cast back in or steel? Thanks in advance, Rick

The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
