Unfortunatly that is true, a lot of good ideas get nowhere because of who thought of them or authored them, or when they were brought up.

However there are people in office who keep trying, Kerry isn't one of them. What idea has he ever had that he tried to get through congress? What idea of someone elses did he really feel strongly enough about to work hard for? How many times over 20 years in the senate was he just not there to vote at all? Regardless of how Kerry felt on most issues he didn't show up to even vote!
I feel that in his case that was a good thing, but the people of MASS. didn't get what they paid for. I don't think he will be there for the people of the United States if he were president, he would let the United Nations run the United States.
