1. I want a yard that keeps itself mowed, weeded, raked, fertilized, and watered without my interference.

2. I want a food with all the nutritional value of brussel sprouts or broccoli, but with a taste like ice cream.

3. I want a car that runs on non-biodegradables like styrefoam that emits only clean air and pure H2O.

4. I want an old tractor that won't cost me an arm and a leg to purchase, that I can restore to new condition for less than a dollar, and that will pull down tall oak trees, plow all day and all night on 50 cents worth of fuel, and will be worth a fortune--and have hundreds of people clamoring for it--when my grandkids need money for college.

5. I want a pickup truck that fits me as confortably as my favorite pair of shoes, will pull or haul any load that needs hauling, will run forever on next to no expense...and the neighbors DON'T think it's an eyesore.

6. I want a house where the light bulbs never burn out, the plumbing never clogs, the windows never break, the current never goes off, the appliances last forever, the closet space and the cabinet space are sufficient for every stage of my life, that never needs painting or roofing or gutters cleaned out.

OK, so I stole the idea from the guy who said he wanted Kim to let us talk about what we want...and I took it to an extreme. So, all jokes aside, now I'm gonna talk about what I REALLY want:

What I REALLY want is a life that's well-lived, with a healthy balance of work and play; where the family all gets along; where there's money for all we need, and enough of what we want; where my health is sufficently good to carry out my purpose here on earth; where I have a good relationship with my Creator, and He is satisfied that I've done my best when the final roll is called; and where, after I'm dead, I will have made enough of a good impression on someone that I'll be missed in a POSITIVE way...and that I will have set a good enough example that someone, somewhere, will want to follow.

Today's Featured Article - Listening to Your Tractor - by Curtis Von Fange. Years ago there was a TV show about a talking car. Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo. ... [Read Article]
